Take around 500mg of vitamin C every hour. Wake up in the
night as well. Obviously waking every single hour, while it is preferable, is
difficult and is very impractical if you have to work. I find that waking 2 or
3 times and taking 1000mg is sufficient. It is important that you take regular
small doses rather than spaced out large ones. This is because excess vitamin C
is excreted by your kidneys and you need to keep a high level circulating in
your blood. Make sure that you use vitamin C without bioflavanoids in it. These
are often added as they help with the uptake of the vitamin but they strengthen
blood vessels which helps to prevent miscarriage. Go for the cheapest vitamin C
tablets you can find and make sure that the only ingredient is ascorbic acid.
After 2 days of this add 1000mg of dong quai every 4 hours. It is easiest to
take the capsules rather than make the tea as you can make sure you get the
right quantity. If you feel very nauseas or get any other severe side effects
stop immediately. Once bleeding starts then stop taking anything and let nature
take its course.
